I'm staying at my parents' house tonight which has so far consisted of me trying to pull photos off my camera (success), eating spaghetti and meatballs (success) and watching bits and pieces of Definitely, Maybe (indifferent.)
Today was Erica's bridal shower. I got her Pyrex dishes. That shit is HEAVY.
The ladies:
The bridesmaids did the timer game where if it goes off while Erica is opening your gift you win a prize. I didn't win (I know you are thinking how did that happen??) Anyway, they gave out bride-related DVDs as the gift like 27 Dresses and Bride Wars which was a cute idea.Much improved from the high school photos I put in her scrapbook.
We went to Long Beach Island for Erica Engelman's birthday two weeks ago. This house was wack-a-doodle. There were ten bedrooms, all themed like broadway shows. Oh, and there were also ten bathrooms, two living rooms, a dining room, kitchen, game room, porch, and two bbqs. And it was way cheaper than the tiny Fire Island dumps we usually rent.Below is the Lion King room. Even the bathroom had animal details - monkey shower hooks, leopard shower curtain, etc. Warthog in the loft...
Dave and I played Pac Man tons in the game room
Oklahoma (complete with chickens)
The Shoppe Place
South Pacific
Captain Hook
Camelot
Kat getting frisky with the toilet paper knight
Phantom of the Opera
Jackie and Kat in disguise
Our room was amazing. May I present Grease...
The tail lights on the couch lit up
This jukebox actually worked (and lit up too)
Staying in this room made me hungryI seriously wish prices like these still existed
I've been to New Jersey lots recently. We went to AC for Liz's birthday in May. Just because I like taking photos with stupid looking characters...
Oh! And here's one of Jonathan relaxing for good measure.
Here are some photos from our trip to Vegas with Vicki and Thom...
Bellagio Bug out
With my humps
My Cirque du Soleil contact hooked us up with tickets to Ka. It was Ka-nd of amazing! (sorry)I tried my best Top Model pose with The Beatles outside of LOVE.
Fremont Street Dining
The restaurant we ate at gave us roses. I clearly felt like I was on The Bachelor.
We stayed in The Venetian. The hotel was ridic (especially the 8000 hallways and elevators we needed to take to get to our room.)
The pools were super nice. They now have Tao outside at the pool and charge $20 for guys to get in. Dumb.
In the Palazzo
We watched the "new and improved" Sirens of TI show outside of Treasure Island. It was HORRIBLE.
Last Saturday, I saw The Merchant of Venice in The Delacorte Theater in Central Park, starring the one and only Al Pacino. Heather waited on line from 5:30 am until 1:00 pm to get the tickets, so I think I may owe her a favor or twelve. I'm still in shock that I got to see him perform in person. On the way to the theater, I saw William Fichtner walking out of the park. I was tempted to yell something about GO but just didn't have it in me. He was tall and tanned, good looking too.
Speaking of celeb spottings, I saw Napolean Dynamite, Mini Me, and Method Man at E3. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera and don't have any photos of our humongo booth. I recommend you check out our amazing new games Rock Band 3 and Dance Central (controller-less people!) And here's a link to the community team's E3 video: http://vimeo.com/12578646.
I had major issues sleeping during this trip. I think I was anxious about the booth in general, and just kept waking up between 5-6 am each day. The air in the room was super dry and messed up my breathing (now I have a cold.) Also, can we talk about the hotel for a minute? We stayed at The Standard downtown - it was meant to be retro, or whatever, but the decor was butt ugly, the bathroom was see-through, and the bed was on the floor. It screamed 1970s porn (not that I'd know anything about that.) We had a staff party at the rooftop bar on Thursday night which ended up with half of our group jumping in the pool fully clothed. The next morning I raced to shower, pack (including my soaking wet clothes), met Melanie for a quick coffee, and headed to LAX all with a massive hangover. My ears popped so bad on the plane that it still hurts when I sneeze.
Tomorrow I shall mainly be doing nothing for the first time in a while YEEHAW!

Jonathan! Yay!
I like the title of this post, obviously. I also like the photo of the Arsenic and Old Lace sign, as starring in that was my one and only high school acting experience!
You and Heather got to see Pacino? On stage? Officially jealous.
