The first photo, which has already been posted to Facebook, is me and Dave with him in the backseat of Liz's car on the drive home (it's always important to buckle up.)
Another big deal for me on Saturday was the fact that I went on the Scream Machine for the first time. Every time I've gone to Great Adventure, I refused to go on it purely because of the first drop (I'm great with loops but just can't handle the drops.) I think that going on Superman first made the decision easier (Superman is ride I've always liked, but this time and it almost made me crap my pants.) For whatever reason, it scared me, and it somehow convinced me that I'd be able to finally conquer the Scream Machine. Well, that drop was nothing!! You could barely feel it. I also didn't get my head knocked around too much like everyone had warned. The only bad thing about it was that as we were about to get on, a guy getting off the ride with throw up on his shirt ran past us to throw up some more over the railing. The clean-up took ages - Lysol the seats, hose the train, run the train empty, re-hose and Lysol. (No, we didn't sit near his seat.) I had never seen an actual throw up situation at the amusement park...nice way to start off the day.
Scream/Throw Up Machine
I was very relieved to see that Bizarro simply replaced Medusa as it's my favorite ride. All they did different was paint it purple and play loud voices ("He just fell in! Did anyone else see that??") They also play a ditty at the end "Bizzaro Bizzarro Bizzaro BIZZARO!" Felt like I was at the club.
Everyone did Kingda "Freakin" Ka but me (the tallest, fastest roller coaster in the world.) I was not having that.
I was VERY unhappy to see that they removed the Sombrero ride. Anyway, we are heading out now - there's a street fair on Broadway with a bouncy castle.Current Music: Jack Penate - Body Down
