I just celebrated my New Year's with a lovely dinner of Campbell's Tomato Soup. Should I really have expected school to give us the day off for a Jewish Holiday? No. Should I have expected them to schedule my bi-weekly Tuesday afternoon seminar to start next week rather than today? No. Should I have expected the first meeting of the Democracy Club (recommended we attend) to start on a day other than a Jewish holiday? No. Happy Rosh Hashanah to me.
