I've just discovered the best thing ever. I was on the CBS website reading a month's worth of Guiding Light recaps and they do podcasts!!! I've never actually downloaded one before but I've just learned how and am now listening to last Monday's episode. For anyone who hasn't listened to one, it's pretty funny. There's a narrator that says things like "Now in the boardroom..." and then the characters speak. And without the commercials its only a half an hour per episode, so I can listen to one on the bus ride to school tomorrow. It's my last first day of class ever, weird. I've got International Relations 1, hopefully it will go okay.
I also learned something else new today. I found a book on the artist/photographer Man Ray. The book caught my eye because of the Futureheads song with the same title. I've never heard of this guy, so I browsed through the book and what did I find?? Black and white photographs of people (mostly women and mostly naked) touching themselves. Now I finally understand the song (well, two lines of it at least!) The lyrics are:
It gives me manray
It's what we like
It gives me weston
Touch eachother in black and white
Eia eia eieieia, eia eia eieieia, eia eia eieieia..
Where did your hands go
When you thought i was your life
I could see his hands
They were touching you all night
And where did your hands go
When you thought i was your life
I could see his hands
They were touching you all night
Touching you all night night night
Touch yourself, touch yourself, touch eachother in black and white
Touch yourself, touch yourself, touch eachother in black and white
Touch yourself, touch yourself, touch eachother in black and white
Touch yourself, touch yourself, touch eachother in black and white
Give me manray
It's what we like
Give me weston
Touch eachother in black and white
Touch yourself touch yourself, touch eachother in black and white
Touch yourself, touch yourself, touch eachother in black and white
Touch yourself, touch yourself, touch eachother in black and white
Touch yourself, touch yourself, touch eachother in black and white
It sounds funnier when you sing it.
